1. Measure the length of the contact section of the
hub assembly of synchroniser No. 1 (B) and of the
first and second gear control fork (A)

Specification value: 10 +0.12 mm +0.05 mm

2. Measure and adjust the axial clearance of the 1st gear (C) and of the 2nd gear (D), as shown in the
figure.
- BEFORE STARTING REMOVAL, MAKE SURE OF MEASURING THE AXIAL CLEARANCE AT
DIFFERENT POINTS.
- IF THE AXIAL CLEARANCE MEASURED EXCEEDS THE SPECIFIED VALUE IN THE TABLE
BELOW, REMOVE THE SECONDARY SHAFT.

Specified value: 0.10 - 0.52 mm
2nd gear (D)
Specified value: 0.10 ± 0.40 mm
Inspection - 2
1. Measure the height of the conical spring washer.
2. Place the new conical spring washer 1, the sub-
gear on the 1st gear.
3. Make sure that the convex side of the conical
spring washer is facing towards the sub-gear, as
shown in the figure.
