tool, check the diaphragm spring, to detect possi-
ble height deviations.

6. If height deviation exceeds the specified limit,
adjust the diaphragm spring with the special tool
C.

7. Fit the clutch lever.
•
Apply EP grease onto the thrust bear-
ing hub and to the lever contact sur-
face.
•
Apply EP grease onto the clutch lever
and to relevant contact surface.
8. Fit the vehicle gear unit.

Test the following parts. Replace any defective
part.
1. Check the clutch pressure plate and flywheel
contact surface with the clutch disc; checking that
there are no signs of wear or overheating.
2. Check that there are no signs of wear, corrosion
or damage on the lever.
