Sub-gear
1. Each single sub-gear has one tooth less with
respect to the main gear; in this way, a phase
movement towards the main gear can be obtained.
This makes possible to remove clearance among
the teeth at the moment of meshing with the main
gear. In addition to this, an elastic spring (conical)
placed between the sub-gear and the main gear
avoids any noise when shifting gears.
