4. Remove the front tamper assembly, Figure 2.
NOTE: The front tamper home sensor is removed to prevent the sensor from being dam-
age when the front tamper assembly is removed.

Replacement
Reverse the removal procedures to reinstall the front tamper motor assembly.

Removal
WARNING
Take care during this procedure. Sharp edges may be present that can cause injury.
WARNING
Switch off the electricity to the machine. Refer to GP 14. Disconnect the power cord
from the customer supply while performing tasks that do not need electricity. Electricity
can cause death or injury. Moving parts can cause injury.
1. Remove the front and rear covers REP 12.1-171.
2. Remove the rear drive belt lower pulley to relieve the belt tension.
3. Remove the bin 1 elevator motor assembly Figure 1.
NOTE: The pulley pin may fall when the pulley is removed.

Replacement
Reverse the removal procedures to reinstall the bin 1 motor elevator motor assembly.
NOTE: Check that the ‘flats’ on the shaft bearing align with the cut-outs in the bracket.
Check that the Bin 1 lift bar is level before refitting the stacker belt lower pulley.

Disconnect and remove
the home sensor.

Disconnect the awa
sensor harness.

Remove 5 screws to release the
support bracket.

Remove the front tamper
assembly.

Remove the circlip, the
upper pulley and the pin.

Release the wiring
from the clamps.

Remove the
bearing.
