Call up the command with the following parameters:
ipv6 path mtu <prefix addr> <mtu>
The parameters have the following meaning:
IPv6 address of the recipient
Enter a valid IPv6 address
Size in bytes 0 ... 65535
Default: 1500
For information on names of addresses and interfaces, refer to the section "Interface
identifiers and addresses (Page 39)".
The maximum packet size is configured.
You display the configuration with the show ipv6 pmtu command.
You disable the maximum packet size with the
no ipv6 path mtu command.
You enable the PMTU Discovery function with the command
ipv6 path mtu discovery.
no ipv6 path mtu
Description
With this command you disable the use of the maximum packet size. In other words, the
setting is no longer used with the PMTU Discovery function.
You are in the Global configuration mode.
